We had a wonderful time during our romantic escape. The accommodation was comfortable and the bathrooms spacious. The high ceilings in the rooms added a touch of elegance. The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, with beautiful grounds and several scenic walks to enjoy. We particularly loved the views from the windows, which were simply breathtaking.
There were a couple of negatives during our stay. the wait time at the reception for both check-in and check-out was longer than expected.

I liked the architecture of the hotel and the history.
I was horrified that the hot water system was not working and neither was the heater in the room. Although provision was made for taking a shower in the only room with instant gas-heated water and a small heater was brought to the room, it was poor management to have both systems down and not give clients a reduced rate. I would have left if we had been staying more than one night. We were hiking and needed hot water in our rooms and a heated room.

The setting of the hotel is beautiful. Standing majestically, it rises from within the trees as you approach on the grand driveway. Homely, yet luxurious, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the rooms are the perfect blend of elegance and comfort. The staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect for exploring the Cotswolds and outlying areas. Such a pleasure to return to in the evening. One of the best hotels, for the money, I have stayed in. Simply beautiful.
That I had to leave after just three days!

I had a wonderfully relaxing stay at a hotel with impressive grounds. The Cotswold suite had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel, with beautiful views of the grounds. The breakfast at the lovely restaurant was particularly good, with a variety of choices. The location was great, with many nearby places of interest. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway.

It was an excellent place to relax and enjoy the old world charm of the building and its surroundings. We had a fabulous four poster suite with double aspect views across the grounds and the pond. The staff were first class as was breakfast in the excellent dining room. Enjoy a drink or two in the lounge or library bar,a great finish to the day.

Great atmosphere inside and out, big enough to have good facilities, small enough to feel almost like a private residence. Very good breakfast for a 3* hotel at that price, good value for money. Bathroom modern and functional
service hours for food in the bar too limited (ends 9 pm)
